Fragile Existence of Premonition

Premonition, a crafted delusion, a spurious, made up thought. No. A premonition is the cipher of God. It is the divine tool and should be treated with respect. It is the element of dwindling existence. It comes and goes. What remains is the state of conclusion or confusion. A state of conclusion is reached if the premonition is given ample time and space in the mind with a carefully nurturing thought process. It is shaken off by hypocrites of practicality. Those people have no clue of the recent future as they have labelled the thought as to have oozed out of the woodwork. These people who have substituted what could have been their cherished foresight with a run-of-the-mill thought from the conveyor belt of pragmatism are foolish. The people who call themselves practical in life should lend an ear to the muffled sound from the other end of the call. They must follow their foresight, that first fragile thought whose roots sway deep into the ocean of likelihood. Premonition is the consequence of experience. It is one single tenuous beam of clarity that shines upon us from within the ocean of possibilities. That one beam must be chased, and consolidated through new experiences.
A premonition is never really meant to herald the truth. It is mere the glimpse of what could be true. It is meant to be chased as many times, it harbingers clear, unspoiled fact which could have remained unseen if it wasn't for experience. There is no gift of foresight really. Just the ability gathered through time which enables an individual to take a dip into the ocean of possibilities and clearly see some of them flickering with the white light of truth. The future lies with narrowing the ocean down to a handful of possibilities. Such virtuoso is our mind. The future stands right on the brim of the ocean, like an insular shore, waiting. Waiting earnestly for you to hit its sun bathed earth with a foamy white tide of discovery. This tide is premonition. Not easily to distinguish, not easy to ride...but fun to chase until it dissolves into other possibilities and drifted into oblivion.

Reminiscence: Guilt and Regret

Reminiscence has always eluded pragmatic minds. The ones who prefer to move on dislike reminiscing and reviewing what has happened. They like to escape the foggy road to the past where time comes to a standstill. Time, down the road-la-reminiscence allows us to observe the past, from different standpoints and biases. Do those who pretend/prefer to be practical and move-on-type have time to lay an elbow and capture the panorama that frozen time creates? The answer is 'maybe'. Because being pragmatic is a relative term. No one ever really ditches reviewing and regretting. It is just a difference of saying and being.
Though we cannot rule out the advantages 'being practical' provides us, we can neither deny the human nature of 'reminiscing the past'. There should be a fine balance of both the qualities in the individual. It is rather slippery, but keeps humanity alive.
When a person's self, after continuous rapping of internal or external stimuli finally makes a segue to the lane where on a weary road made out of bricks of tiny errors, the dry leaves of irony blow across in the knifing wind, it reaches somewhere, someplace obscure, where the grief or regret has been deftly buried. This place is the graveyard in the town of reminiscence. The startling thing about this strange town is that many people who enter with a motive of finding this very graveyard and unearth the regret, seeing it raw in the winds whose booming sound mocks like the society derides a blunderer, end up getting into a bar at the side of the road, forgetting what happened the next day and leaving the town subsequently with no interest left to review their mistake, take an unflinching look at their regret. They oversee the regret in pretension and lethargy.
There are some who reach this very place, dig the corpse of regret out, let it see the day. They clearly behold their mistakes of the past in the clump of raw regret and vow not to make such in the foreseeable future. The wise men. The others who enter are somewhat wise too as they tried to look beyond the gates where ego doesn't let any.
The motive of this practice of finding regret and guilt to change the future is very personal. It is good to dig that loathed 'thing' and it is good not to too. It just depends upon the priorities, demand of loved ones and resurfacing guilt, the rapping on the guarded gates of memory. It is just the flexibility of the individual   that matters.

Clarity in Illusory : Utopia

Utopia signifies a scenario, an island whose locales, people satisfy the conception of what is perfect. Where the water is pure and tranquil. Birds chirruping, their reflection in water clear and guileless. A place where you wouldn't mind getting lost. Where what is asked for is what is received. In this place the people are not mere humans, they are Gods, an embodiment of ineffable belief. They possess everything one covets.
The emergence of utopia is common in believers. It doesn't take a painter's imagination to visualize your God in all glory. The moment we visualize His perfection, we recognize our imperfection and surrender our ego to Him. This surrender of ego is a big step in making things clear to us in real life as ego hampers righteousness. It curbs the possibilities of harmony and renders the inside of a person to be hollow and bleak. It doesn't allow a person to see anything better than him. Ego mirrors a person as God in real life, but what is required for a clear perception of reality is utopia, a perfect place to meet God and leave our ego there as we do so. Thus, the subliminal consciousness takes us to our God only in imagination. As we realize how distant we are from Him in matters of perfection, we submit our arrogance to Him. Adoration brings submission. Submission brings obedience.
This submission of arrogance and ego looks illusory and distant to an egoist and a non-believer just like the conception of utopia. His mind never submits. Never does the clarity dawn on him. He remains ignorant of the universe of Gods; beings better than him,in places better than his.
The imagination of God and your perfect place eradicates ego and increases belief in possibilities. It brings clarity from murkiness. Order from chaos.

Prayer and Positivity

When does the muted expression of a prayer end? The effect of an earnest invocation gushes liquidity of positive thoughts instantly into the barren valley of distressed mind. There exists a gossamer time-snap between the ending of a prayer and surge of positive thoughts. That time, even to its minutest detail is inscrutable. It is where all His glory and magic lies. That time after the prayer in which the mist of hope fills up in between the branches of the trees of doubt and leaves them with dew upon the dormant buds of positivity is where the person "adapts". The positive thoughts are mellifluous and comforting. They help us nowhere but in adapting to what has happened in our small world. They guide us to a glimpse of a bigger picture.
This elevating effect of prayer also contributes to "the placebo effect". A placebo effect is the one in which a sick person is elevated to recuperation through a series of support factors that only increase a person's adaptability towards the ailment and eventually help him win the battle against low hope.
Thus a prayer goes a long way in clearing the path for a person's karma to take over the situation. It is just an initiation. The Karma still is the hero in getting a troubled person through.
A prayer takes two forms. First, pre-event and second post-event. The former is very common and exhibited by every individual. The latter attributes to very small number of individuals. A prayer after the desired event has taken place forms the groundwork for sustainability of actions and fulfillment of desires concomitant to the event.
Hope and prayer are namesakes. It just changes names for believers and atheists. Everyone is hopeful for something at some point in life. It is inherent in children. The concept of prayer lies thus universal, free from guilt, it always helps, while not granted it exudes a perpetual hope. The darkness of hopelessness never invades the bright light of prayer in all its glory.

Realization of Happiness

The question is : Exactly when do we feel happy? Or is being happy the same as being content? They all are merely the form of elementary confusion around the matter. Confusion arises in the form of sarcasm pulled on the perception of your knowledge on this universal behavior and eventually grows into a virtual inquisitor who questions you at every folly moment or two; "Are you really sure that you should feel happy about this?". And there you are, ditching every good moment for a moment of restlessness for a resolution. Once you are caught in the whirlwind of trading what comes as a natural expression of happiness with spurious cries of confusion, you are rarely left without a question being stamped upon the worthiness of that moment. Therefore you must'not allow your mind to indulge in these rhetorical questions.
We now have learnt that a question upon happiness should not be entertained because once tried for an answer, it not only burgeons more questions but also contributes to the incipience of doubt about one's personality by attacking the confidence and belief.
Mark Twain has said, "If you are not happy here and now, you never will be". Thus the concept of being happy should be left out of the mill that only churns out what it produces. So if you need a reason to smile, you need a psychologist too.
Feeling happy about 'something' differs entirely from feeling happy about 'somebody'. You always question yourself when it comes to being happy about somebody. The major processing parameter when u appraise somebody for expressing or even experiencing your own happiness for him/her is the attention or response from the other side when you were sometime happy. You dig your memory to justify your happiness for somebody just so you can come up with an argument commanding not to. The reason why I am pointing this outright is because it is true for most and natural to the core of self. Being secure is what everybody wants. The security comes with the sense of relief planted by the observation that you have nothing to do about that person or that occasion. You actually become more selfish at that point than any other in your life when the scene or person actually demanded happiness to be expressed or experienced by you but you turned your back towards it by not acknowledging it as worthy. You abandon your happiness for a fleeting moment of judgement, a concomitant feeling of faux security dovetailed by the sense that you did not divulge your precious and secret smile to anything unrelated to selfish benefits. You stop. You move on. What remains mocking your frail sense of profit is your happiness...

Sound of the Silent Universe

It is believed that we are guided by a higher power. As we connect to Him, we begin to interact by resonating in certain inner frequencies on the perpetual string through which we are tethered to Him. These vibrations or natural hymns are the sounds of self or the inner universe. Listening to these forms the very core of Spirituality.
Our inner universe or self is characterised by many aspects. It can be the sense of happiness, freedom, or feeling of affection. These emotions determine the quality of self. The way to study the nature of the self is the way we connect to God. The higher energy is all around us in all frequencies or hues. It is upon us to understand the self and study it carefully, and finally stride to match the frequencies of emotions and needs to that of the universal string that connects and guides us. The choice of the emotion lies with us. This decision is called ‘karma’,the deeds which eventually shape our future. There are higher needs of awareness that trigger devotion, asceticism and kindness which are sought after by great men, and there are the lower ones of greed for money, power..both of which enable us to seek a divine intervention. Thus, the vibrations of the inner self, higher or lower in virtue are the listening chords for God. They both are equally important and equally addressed by Almighty.
There is a certain recipe to perceive or experience the presence of a higher power around us. As I relate it directly to the senses I start to realize the fact that there exists an immense silence in the universe, ulterior to the perceivable and omnipresent ho-cum. Lending an ear to this silence within you opens the gate to understand spirituality. I believe that as we go lower and lower on our energy expenditure on sensing and having faux attempts to change the happenings around us , we get higher and higher on scale of spiritual awareness. It’s a conflicting observation of thoughts that the 'awareness' and 'sleep of senses' come together. But there is an explanation for this paradox. As we try to turn off our senses for short time, we get closer to the moment of clarity wherein we realize who we are. I believe the very attempt to understand the inner universe is itself a success on the spiritual front, thus the only way to “see” the God.
